FACILITY
The Facility has a material preparation bay, three production bays, one sand blast bay, and three painting bays. Selway is equipped to handle most industrial and commercial steel manufacturing projects. Below is a tour of each bay individually, with a description of what type of work is performed in each bay.
Material Preparation Bay
The Material Preparation Bay is where Selway takes the pieces of steel and preps it for production. The largest piece of machinery is located in this bay, Auto CNC Torch Burn Table.
Bays 1 and 2
Below are pictures of Bay 1 & 2, these are they two smaller production bays.
You will also notice Bay 2 is where the Peddinghaus Drill Line and Anglemaster are located. This typically is where the smaller structural and plate work fabrication occurs.
Bay 3
Bay 3 is where most of the large projects and fabrication is performed. This bay has 4 cranes with 26 foot hooks to aid in the large fabrication projects. Bay three is the largest production bay on Selway’s site.
The Blast Bay
Our Blast bay is where we prepare the materials before painting by blasting with steel grit. Selway uses steel grit to blast thereby giving all projects a sharp angular profile.
Painting Bays
North, South & East Paint Bays are where we apply a final coating of paint on the materials before shipping and it is all climate controlled.
